About Elena

Best Plan No Plan was born from a desire to return fashion to something more personal, conscious and meaningful.

After more than 20 years working in fashion as an international stylist and image consultant — including the last 7 years developing Best Plan No Plan — I gradually realized that I no longer connected with the speed and scale of mass fashion production.

I began my career working with a large European fashion company as a lead stylist and buyer. For more than 10 years, I was involved in buying and adapting collections to achieve the best possible commercial and visual results.

Later, I moved deeper into personal styling and image consulting. For over another decade, I worked as a personal stylist, image consultant and trainer, helping clients develop a wardrobe and visual identity that truly reflected their personality, lifestyle and goals.

Hands working with natural fabric in the atelier

My work as an image consultant includes a full cycle of professional diagnostic and styling support:

  • color and shade analysis and selection
  • silhouette analysis
  • understanding the psychological aspects of style and self-expression
  • wardrobe editing and organization
  • creating seasonal moodboards and styling concepts
  • shopping guidance and personal styling support

Over the years, I came to understand that style is never only about clothing. It is about individuality, balance, self-expression and the relationship between a person and the way they choose to present themselves to the world.

After moving to Koh Phangan, I created Best Plan No Plan as a slow fashion concept focused on natural fabrics, thoughtful design and individually adapted pieces.

Today, Best Plan No Plan combines my experience in fashion, styling and personal image consulting. Alongside creating collections, I continue working individually with clients, helping them choose the right silhouettes, colors and proportions and, when needed, personally adapting garments to their body shape, lifestyle and individuality.

For me, true styling is not about trends or mass production, but about helping people feel naturally aligned with themselves through clothing, texture, shape and personal style.

The atelier on Koh Phangan

Our studio is small. We work with a small team of artisans, on linen, cotton, hemp, silk — and only those. No synthetic fabrics. No mass production.

Each piece exists in a small numbered batch, and many of our designs return in slightly different forms across capsules — because we believe one well-cut garment can transform an entire wardrobe when paired thoughtfully.

The tropical climate shaped everything we make. Layered, loose-fitting cuts that breathe in the heat and travel through European seasons. Cultural fusion — Asian patterns and proportions woven into Western silhouettes. Pieces that work on the island, at a festival in Europe, and in a city café, all in the same week.

The collection — three pieces of one story

Every piece sits somewhere along a spectrum — from the everyday to the once-in-a-lifetime. Same atelier, same hands, same natural fibers. The difference is how much story each garment is asked to carry.

Personal styling — one to one with Elena

For those who'd like deeper help, Elena offers personal styling consultations: a 90-minute session, online via Zoom or in person at the atelier on Phangan.

You and she go through colour, proportion, wardrobe edit, and the way clothes carry your story. Outcome: a clearer wardrobe and a vocabulary you can use for yourself afterwards.

This service exists because some of our clients ask for it directly — friends of friends, often introduced through coaches and therapists working on personal transformation. Style and self-understanding turn out to be very close neighbours.

What we don't do

From our first day, we made an absolute heartfelt commitment: only natural fibers. No synthetic fabrics ever.

We won't flood you with marketing emails or barrage you with Instagram posts. We won't write SEO texts to chase keywords. We believe you're already here if these values resonate with you.

We say a huge "NO" not only to mass-produced culture and fashion, but to the noise that comes with it.
